Save with Window Awnings

Save with Window Awnings

Awnings over windows and doorways add curb appeal, and a patio awning or patio cover can also increase your living space. According to the American Society of Heating & Air Conditioning, fabric awnings will also reduce heat gain by 55% to 77% for south and west exposures. By reducing direct sun exposure or gain through windows, you reduce the level of heat building indoors.

Fabric awnings will limit direct sun on glass and thereby reduce heat from solar radiation indoors. It is estimated that solar radiation through glass is responsible for nearly 20% of the load on an air conditioner. When direct sunlight is reduced to interiors, it also reduces fading of rugs, textiles, artwork and wood floors. This means you save on reduced air conditioning costs and prolong the life of your indoor furnishings.

At Santa Fe Awning, we use Sunbrella fabrics with a 10 year warranty. We fabricate each awning in our Santa Fe workshop and build each awning frame to customs specs. Our installers service all of New Mexico from Taos to Las Cruces and we stand by our work.
