Few patios are complete without shade sails. An array of fabric in geometric shapes overhead, creates an inviting sense of warmth and enclosure. Breezes pass over and around, and as the sun moves, the shaded area below changes. The covered areas are sheltered from direct sunlight which reduces heat, and exposure to burning UV rays.
Each shade sail can be a different shape and size, or fly one large sail. A single color, multiple colors or a neutral palette will set the tone for the space below. Shade sails can be erected on free-standing steel poles, or anchored to one or more exterior walls of the structure.
Patio shade sails are fair weather structures, and while they are virtually impervious to rain and wind, they must be taken down for the winter in areas that get snow and ice in the cold months.
