At Santa Fe Awning we build everything from the ground up for a perfect custom fit for all of our shade solutions. Sturdy steel beams are set in concrete, cross beams are welded in place, and the whole is anchored to exterior walls. The cover is constructed of heavy weight fabric that blocks sunlight and most precipitation, and will last for years. The edges and seams are double reinforced, and the swathe of fabric is woven above and below cross beams and tied into place. The cover can be removed and replaced over time and is impervious to insects and fading.
By shading this patio and preserving a cooler outdoor space, less summer sun and heat penetrating windows and doorways will also reduce cooling costs. It is not unusual to see as much as 25% savings in energy costs as a direct result.
