When The Shed on Palace Avenue in Santa Fe needs new sun and wind protection for their sheltered patio seating, they depend on the expertise of Santa Fe Awning. They don’t cut corners with their business and they know we don’t either. Their large, completely contained patio area has been a mecca for visitors and locals alike for decades. The outdoor space is completely surrounded by their restaurant and adjacent businesses. The rectangular umbrella structure covers the patio space completely and is high enough that customers don’t feel closed in. The sun orange Sunbrella fabric casts a warm light below, is sewn with Kevlar thread, and resists tearing and fading in all kinds of weather. A raised “cap” of awning covers a small opening that allows warm air to escape and provides a continual flow of fresh air to the seating area below. The frame, fabricated of steel is supported from below.
