A single storey desert home boasts a free standing, curved steel frame around a partially covered patio. Horizontal steel beams fan out beyond the covered space and above the open patio creating a cantilevered base for a summer, fabric patio cover. Our workshop installed an overhead fan of our Buffalo outdoor screening with grommets and lacing for smooth tension. The result is a dramatic, extended patio space that shields from heat, sun & weather. During the cold months, we will remove the screening to avoid damage from the weight of winter snows and ice. The Buffalo screening shields up to 95% of harmful UV rays which protects against burning and color fading. Tall windows are also protected from sun & heat, reducing summer energy costs to cool the interior. The finished patio cover is beautiful, inviting and practical.
