Built-In Solarium

Built-In Solarium

Indoor plant lovers don’t have to make do with a sunny window. Solariums work best when they’re built to be flexible.

Windows fitted with UV protective interior screening that can be adjusted to roll up is just the first step. The overhead covering is ideally set with glass to allow for maximum sun exposure when needed. A patio cover fabricated with the same UV protective screening that can extend or retract as needed is perfect. In winter months when the sun is weak, the patio cover is retracted for maximum exposure. In warm months the patio cover can be retracted in the mornings and extended for the heat of mid-day and afternoon sun.

A solarium will also retain warmth from the sun’s exposure and cushion interior rooms from cold air. Reduce winter heating costs and nurture your indoor garden all year long.
