Our Story
Santa Fe Awning began with determination and just $20 in 1994, when founder Jeffrey Maul recognized an opportunity to bring quality custom awnings and shade solutions to New Mexico. What started at a kitchen table has grown into a respected company serving the entire state with commercial and residential awning installations.
As a single father of two, Jeff taught himself the craftsmanship of sewing and welding between sales appointments. His home gradually transformed into our first fabrication facility—the kitchen table became the sales desk, the family room housed the sewing equipment, and the backyard served as the welding shop. Jeff personally designed, manufactured, and installed all Santa Fe Awning products until 1998.
Family Legacy Continues
Santa Fe Awning remains committed to the family values upon which it was built. Sara Maul, Jeff’s daughter, joined the company in 2001 and is now carrying forward her father’s vision for quality craftsmanship and excellent service as he considers retirement.
Growing Across New Mexico
With a commitment to quality and craftsmanship, Santa Fe Awning expanded its footprint:
1998
Launched Albuquerque Awning Co. to serve central New Mexico
2004
Established Las Cruces Awning Co. to cover southern New Mexico
Today, our installation teams work throughout the entire state, from residential patios in Santa Fe to commercial storefronts in Albuquerque and restaurant shade structures in Las Cruces.
